The Curriculum
Pre - K and Kindergarten students build on their natural enthusiasm for movement, using it to explore and learn about their world. They start to work and play with other pupils in pairs and small groups. By watching, listening and experimenting, they develop their skills in movement and coordination.
Pre-Kindergarten has two 30 minute lessons of P.E. The students are introduced to the world of Physical Education and learn skills in order to be active participants in a P.E. class. Over the year's lessons, we develop gross and fine motor skills, ball skills, simple game play, listening skills, cooperation, sportsmanship and instruction following activities. We use a variety of facilities depending on availability. These may include the gym, auditorium, dance studio, outside 3G pitch, tennis courts, front lawn, and on special occasions; trips into Court Park to use the playground, grass meadows and copse (small forest/group of trees) for activities. PreK do not participate in the K - 4 Sports Day. Students need a pair of clean indoor P.E. shoes and should wear appropriate clothing on P.E. days. |
